sanguine

A quiet suburban motel is haunted by the bloodied spirit of a girl all in white. She appears on nights of the new moon with looped braids and eyes crying red and painted with dark, cryptic symbols. The ghastly soul haunts all who make a stay during the dark nights of the absent moon.

masked + giggling in the gypsy den

a few weeks ago we had the most beautiful little soiree which was just perfect. the only rule was to wear a mask and everyone did! seeing everyone's choices was pretty fun since it has a bit of their sweet self involved in that costume. some babes dressed to the nines in strappy heels and little black dresses while others wore lace, sparkles and corsets. the backyard location was glowing with candles and ribbons and fringed table cloths with the constant hum of rad/loud tunes coming from our hello kitty speakers. there was game playing and portrait taking and an all around giggly feeling.. especially when we ended up on the trampoline sipping pink champagne taking photos of girls floating up in baby pink lace. we decorated with classic balloon bundles and that sherbert/7UP fruit punch that they used to serve at snack time at CCD. It was basically the dream party for any 5th grader, colorful deco, masks, impromptu 'bohemian rapsody' chorus and trampoline included.. but maybe that's what makes it so fun...
a magical night full of magical babes... remember.. themed parties are always more fun!

technicolor teenagers

you've known girls like them before,
or maybe not.
fluid and free, these are wandering spirits.
you'll know them by their eyes.
look, look closely:
they have their own undefinable quality,
restless and simply, utterly alive.

hair like snow, stands of rose
crayola hair, dyed perfectly pine green;
they're the kind of girls to skip class in favor of thrifting,
who call spirits and play cards in the park,
scour used bookstores for illustrated fairytales,
paint their eyelids with glitter to go to the deli,
sneak into the community pool after midnight,
and walk about crowned with flowers.

awaiting spring and loving sheer.

My wish for a snow-less winter has been squashed recently. However, the snow has had some good effect: it's made me positively pine for spring, and consequently, made us begin shopping for that oh-so-elusive season! Right now, we're loving sheer and we're loving maxi, so sheer + maxi just about kills us! If you wear sheer too scanty, there's always the risk of showing off more than you intended. Sheer maxis allow for a balance between sexy and demure. And they simply look wonderful and flatter nearly everyone. Spring will be all about soft sheer fabrics billowing all over the place!

Mulberry knows what's up. Platforms, maxi length, and bright mixed with muted colors.

Those pleats, dear god.

I found this perfecto collage on depotfashion. Just lookit that all that goodness.

Every picture.

Get in on this perfect trend in our shop... we have a seriously beautiful, jaw-dropping pleated black maxi and oh so much more!

Hoping and waiting very impatiently for spring!
